Become an Instructor

Becoming a TopShelf certified instructor is easy, convenient and more cost effective than most other programs.  In fact, many of our current instructors have come from teaching other programs due to reasonable manual costs, on-site test grading capabilities, general ease of use and excellent customer service.

Some of our instructors teach classes for the public and some become certified to be  corportate 'in-house' trainers. Instructors are not employees of Straight up LLC but are self employed. 

Becoming a certified instructor is a simple process of paying a certification fee and receiving your Instructor Kit in about 7-10 days.  After receiving your Instructor Kit, you can look over all the materials at your own pace, on your own time.  When you feel ready, you must then attend an actual class. Under the guidance of a Master Instructor, you will also be given the opportunity to teach part of this class before you go solo. If you feel the program is not right for you, simply return your Instructor Kit, with all materials intact, and we will refund your money.

After you become trained, you then purchase the manuals and materials for your students and you are ready to go!  We can even help you with ideas and tips for marketing your classes to the public.

We offer certification in:

• On-Premise Training used by restaurant, club, bar, hotel, lounge and sports/civic arena employees
  
• Off-Premise/Retail Training for grocery store, convenient store, liquor store and retail employees
• Carding Seminars which utilizes our copyrighted CODES of Carding that can be taught to anyone who needs to know proper carding techniques

Certification to become an On-Premise Instructor is $475 (this includes  applicable taxes.  Additional state fees may apply).

The program for Off-Premise contains up to 8 hours of teachable information but the time frame and actual materials used can be customized and taught based on your company and/or state requirements. If you are certified to teach the On-Premise Program, you will automatically be certified to teach the Off-Premise/Retail Program!  We do highly suggest that if you wish to teach both programs that you attend a Master Instructor class in both programs to be familiar in situations unique to each environment.

Certification to become an Off-Premise/Retail Instructor is $275 (this includes applicable taxes.  Additional state fees may apply).

The Off-Premise/Retail Program contains around 2-4 hours of teachable information that can be customized to your company policy and/or state and local laws. 

NOTE: In Tennessee, there is a 50% certification discount and a student manual discount if you are a member of the TGCSA!

 How do I become a member of TGCSA?

Certification to teach the TopShelf Carding Seminar is $200 (this includes applicable taxes.  Additional state fees may apply).

This material can be taught in 1 1/2 to 3 hours depending on the student's needs and/or policy or law requirements.

For the On and Off-Premise Certification, your Instructor Kit will include :

• The Instructor Manual 
• A copy of a Student Workbook
• Student test and the answer sheet
• A copy of the TopShelf Carding Seminar
  
• A copy of your state laws to be covered in class
• A full color carding brochure with instructor guide
• Research materials used to create the program for reference
• Board work, role play, law suit examples and related news articles

The kit itself is an actual carrying case embroidered with the TopShelf Logo that allows you to keep all of your supplies organized.

For the Carding Seminar Certification, you will receive:

• A copy of the TopShelf Carding Seminar
• A copy of your state laws to be covered in class
• A full color carding brochure with instructor guide
• Board work, role play, law suit examples and related news articles
